Elements:

Under current law, no person shall take into or possess
in the game fields and forests of the state any fully automatic weapon or
device designed to silence or muffle the report of any firearm.

This act removes the language referring to game fields
and forests of the state. The act prohibits the taking of any wildlife with a
fully automatic weapon.

The act repeals the prohibition on taking into the game
fields or forests a device designed to silence or muffle the report of any
firearm, but makes it a separate high misdemeanor offense to use a device
designed to silence or muffle the report of any firearm to:

Take certain game animals without a license or during a
closed season;

Wantonly take or destroy any big or trophy game animal;

Take a big or trophy game animal while trespassing; or

Take a big or trophy game animal out of season.

No person shall take

(b)

Violation of this section
is separate and additional to any other violation and

constitutes

a high misdemeanor punishable as provided in W.S. 23

No person shall use a device designed to silence or muffle the report of any firearm in the commission of:

(i)

A violation of W.S. 23
