WORKING DRAFT 2014 STATE OF WYOMING 14LSO-0391 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0152 Water research. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Semlek, Blake, Eklund, Madden, Moniz and Northrup and Senator(s) Cooper, Craft, Driskill, Geis, Hines and Meier A BILL for AN ACT relating to water; providing funding for water research; providing appropriations; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . There is appropriated from water development account I three hundred nineteen thousand dollars ($319,000.00) to the water development commission for level I reconnaissance studies, statewide water research as defined in W.S. 41 ‑ 2 ‑ 114. Appropriated funds not obligated by contract prior to July 1, 2017 shall revert to water development account I. The commission shall submit a report to the legislature on any authorized study under this section prior to the 201 6 legislative session . Section 2. The Wyoming water development commission is authorized to contract with the University of Wyoming in an amount not to exceed one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000.00) from water development account I to fund the o ffice of w ater p rograms established under W.S. 41 ‑ 2 ‑ 125 from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2016 . Section 3 . This act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution. (END) 1 HB0152
