Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Eligibility to share in distribution of money from foundation account; mandatory financial reporting.

(a)

Each district which meets the following requirements is eligible to share in the distribution of fun
ds from the foundation account:

(v)

Provision of
professional development and training programs for district teachers and principals outside of and between regular school year sessions
, as
annually
certified to the director by t
he
district
superintendent
. On-site coaching and mentoring by district instructional facilitators pursuant to W.S. 21
‑
13
‑
335 and
on-going periodic
collaborative planning

and
job-embedded or
preparation sessions for improvement in curriculum and instruction are not subject to this paragraph.
Nothing in this paragraph prevents
professional
development and training programs
subject to this paragraph
from being provided during regular school year sessions if schools are not in session for reasons other than for teacher and principal attendance at professional development and training programs.
The requirement of this paragraph may be waived by the
director for any
school district, for any
school year
,
for

good cause as demonstrated by evidence produced by the
district
superintendent prior to March 15 of the school year
preceding
the school year of application of the waiver.
This paragraph shall not apply to charter schools established under W.S. 21

301 through 21

‑

.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2014.
