Catch Title:
Warrantless searches-repeal.

Subject:
Restriction
of warrantless searches for unlawfully possessed wildlife.

Summary/Major
Elements:

Under current law, game wardens are authorized to conduct
warrantless searches of camps, packs, motor vehicles, boats and other areas when
a warden has probable cause to believe wildlife has been illegally taken or is
illegally possessed.

This act eliminates this specific authority for game
wardens to make warrantless searches. The act does not affect any other law relating
to warrantless searches.
