Under current law,
the sale or distribution of

to the public may be
regulated as a public utility. While there is an exemption for water companies furnishing water service to members of companies or associations, there is no exemption for a person who sells water services directly to his tenants.

Definitions.

(a)

As used in chapters 1, 2, 3, 12 and 17 of this title:

(vi)

"Public utility" means and includes every person that owns, operates, leases, controls or has power to operate, lease or control:

This act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution.
