Summary/Major Elements:

The
Department of Family Services has historically facilitated the Wyoming Telephone Assistance Program (TAP), which provided a $3.50 contribution toward the monthly cost of a household telephone line for income-qualified households.
This legislation repeals the program.
The federal Telephone Assistance Program will continue and will provide a benefit of approximately $9.00 per month for each qualifying household.
