Under current law, the

must advertise unclaimed property in a newspaper circulating in Wyoming through an advertisement that contains specific information about the unclaimed property and

apparent owner.

This bill
repeals
the requirement to advertise unclaimed property in a
newspaper
and allows the administrator
discretion to advertise the unclaimed property in a manner that is likely to attract the attention of the apparent owner.

(c)

Within the calendar year following the year in which unclaimed property has been paid or delivered to the administrator,
the administrator shall advertise the unclaimed property
one (1) time in a
newspaper generally
circulating in this state. The advertisement shall be made in such form as
