Sponsored by: Representative(s) Miller and Krone A BILL for AN ACT relating to crimes and offenses; clarifying that concealed weapon carry permit provisions apply to firearms as specified; conforming a provision; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . W.S. 6 ‑ 1 ‑ 104(a)(xv)(J) and 6 ‑ 8 ‑ 104(a)(intro) and (t)(intro) are amended to read: 6 ‑ 1 ‑ 104 . Definitions. (a) As used in this act, unless otherwise defined: (xv) "Pattern of criminal street gang activity" means the commission of, conviction or adjudication for or solicitation, conspiracy or attempt to commit two (2) or more of the offenses listed in this paragraph on separate occasions within a three (3) year period. Offenses that form a pattern of criminal street gang activity include: (J) Wearing or carrying concealed weapons firearms in violation of W.S. 6 ‑ 8 ‑ 104; 6 ‑ 8 ‑ 104 . Wearing or carrying concealed firearms; penalties; exceptions; permits. (a) A person who wears or carries a concealed deadly weapon firearm is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six (6) months, or both for a first offense, or a felony punishable by a fine of not more than two thousand dollars ($2,000.00), imprisonment for not more than two (2) years, or both, for a second or subsequent offense, unless: (t) No person authorized to carry a concealed weapon firearm pursuant to paragraphs (a)(ii) through (iv) of this section shall carry a concealed firearm into: Section 2 .
