Definitions.

(a)

As used in this article:

(xii)

"Grade point average" or "GPA" means the numbered grade average calculated using a 4.0 scale

and,

eginning school year 2015

2016 and each
school
year thereafter,
for determining initial eligibility purposes only,
shall
include
a measure
to
account
for
academic rigor
of high school courses

in accordance with best practices and rule and regulation of the department of education
;
