2015 STATE OF WYOMING 15LSO-0279 Numbered 2.1 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0229 OSHA regulations. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Connolly and Senator(s) Craft A BILL for AN ACT relating to the Wyoming Occupational Health and Safety Act; providing that commission rules and regulations may be more stringent than corresponding federal rules and regulations; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . W.S. 27 ‑ 11 ‑ 105(b)(ii)(C) is amended to read: 27 ‑ 11 ‑ 105 . Occupational health and safety commission; powers and duties of commission and department. (b) The commission has the following powers and duties: (ii) To promulgate, devise, formulate, adopt, amend, and repeal rules and regulations and to appoint advisory committees equally composed of employers and employees from the industries involved to assist and advise the commission: (C) The rules and regulations shall not may be more stringent than corresponding federal rules and regulations. If there are no corresponding federal rules or regulations the commission may adopt applicable state rules and regulations. Section 2 . This act is effective July 1, 2015 . (END) 1 HB0229
