Sponsored by: Representative(s) Zwonitzer, Dv., Allen and Blake and Senator(s) Case A BILL for AN ACT relating to motor vehicle driver licenses; providing for the option of licenses in electronic format; providing requirements for electronic licenses; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . W.S. 31 ‑ 7 ‑ 115 by creating a new subsection (d) is amended to read: 31 ‑ 7 ‑ 115 . Issuance, description and contents. (d) For all licenses issued or renewed after July 1, 2016, the department shall offer to licensees the option of having the license issued in an electronic digital format. An electronic license shall: (i) Contain the same information as a printed license , including the information required by paragraph (a)(iii) of this section ; (ii) I nclude software and other security features to render the license tamperproof to the maximum extent practicable; (iii) Comply with all of the requirements identified, including ref erenced regulations, in W.S. 31 ‑ 7 ‑ 111(a).
