This bill requires employees of charter schools

be included for purposes of participation in any salary adjustment for school district employees funded by the Legislature and specifies the charter school is entitled to 100% of the amount generated by its employees.

Prior to this bill, the law was administered to exclude charter school employees from legislatively authorized salary bonuses unless specifically included in the authorization.

(c)

Effective school year 2015

a charter school shall

Any amount computed and allocated pursuant to this subsection shall be used exclusively by the governing body of the charter school for charter school employee salary adjustments as determined by the governing body.

Students counted among district ADM; determination of charter school funding.

(c)

As part of the charter school contract, the charter school and the school district shall agree on funding and any services to be provided by the school district to the charter school. The charter school and the school district shall begin discussions on the contract using the following revenue assumptions:

The charter school shall be entitled to the benefit of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount generated by the
