(SD02), Hicks and Peterson and Representative(s) Madden and Steinmetz A BILL for AN ACT relating to elections; specifying when candidates running unopposed are required to file campaign reports; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . W.S. 22 ‑ 25 ‑ 106(a)(i) through (i ii) is amended to read: 22 ‑ 25 ‑ 106 . Filing of campaign reports. (a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (g) of this section and in addition to other statements required by this subsection: (i) Every candidate , except a candidate that is running unopposed, shall file a fully itemized statement of receipts at least seven (7) days before any primary, general or special election with information required by this subsection current to any day from the eighth day up to the fourteenth day before the election; (ii) Except as otherwise provided in this paragraph, e very candidate, whether successful or not, shall file a fully itemized statement of receipts and expenditures within ten (10) days after any general or special election . A candidate that was running unopposed shall file the statement required under this paragraph not later than December 31 of the year in which the election occurred ; (iii) Except as otherwise provided in this paragraph, e very candidate in any primary election shall file a fully itemized statement of receipts and expenditures within ten (10) days after the primary election . A candidate that was running unopposed shall file the statement required under this paragraph not later than seven (7) days before the general election unless the candidate is also running unopposed in the general election in which case the candidate shall not be required to file a statement under this paragraph ; Section 2 .
