Summary/Major Elements:

Under current law, the Public Health Division within the Department of Health is responsible for
licensing
emergency medical personnel. The Division is required to obtain legislative approval before implementing any rules.

This bill

Eliminates the requirement that Division rules must be approved by the Legislature prior to being implemented;

Requires the Division to prescribe rules for the conditional licensing of emergency medical personnel;

Specifies requirements for the conditional licensing of emergency medical personnel;

Authorizes the Division to refuse to issue, or to revoke, a conditional license if a condition is discovered which would disqualify

Rules and regulations; procedure; initiation of proceedings
.

(b)

All rules, regulations and proceedings of the division shall be promulgated and conducted in compliance with the Wyoming Administrative Procedure Act.
The rules and regulations prescribed and adopted may not be implemented until submitted to the Wyoming legislature for review and approval under procedures as the legislature may prescribe.
