A BILL

for

AN ACT relating to the administration of government; providing for membership on the state capitol building rehabilitation and oversight group; providing for hiring of an oversight group manager; providing for security for certain statewide elected officials during the capitol renovation and restoration project; providing applicability; providing appropriations; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

is amended to read:

State capitol building rehabilitation and restoration project oversight group; creation; duties.

(a)

There is created a state capitol building rehabilitation and restoration oversight group comprised of:

(v)

A former
legislative member of the oversight group selected by the president of the senate not later than January 7, 2017 and by January 7 of each odd numbered year thereafter.

(f)

Members of the oversight group who are not the governor or members of the legislature shall receive the
same salary, per diem and mileage as members of the legislature traveling to and from meetings or while in actual attendance at meetings of the
oversight group
and during the performance of their duties relative thereto.

(g)

The oversight group may employ and retain
an oversight group
project
manager and other
individuals with
technical
, architectural
or
co
nstruction management expertise
as deemed necessary by the oversight group.
Individuals retained or employed under this section shall have duties as assigned by the oversight group
and shall report directly to the oversight group
.

(a)

Ther
e is appropriated from the general fund to the Wyoming department of transportation two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) to provide,
from the effective date of this act through June 30, 2016
, contract security services for statewide elected officials as provided in this act. The Wyoming highway patrol shall include a request for funds to provide contract security services pursuant to this act in its 2017
‑
2018 standard budget request.

(b)

There is appropriated from the general fund to the
legislative service office
two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) to provide for the retention of an oversight group proj
ect manager as provided in section 1 of this
act
,
from the effective date of
this act through June 30, 2016.

This act is effective immediately upon the completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution
