A BILL

AN ACT relating to counties; granting counties authority to regulate the feeding of wildlife as specified; providing for penalties; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

a) by creating a new paragraph (x) is amended to read:

Powers and duties generally.

(a)

Each board of county commissioners may:

(x)

By resolution, prohibit or authorize and regulate the feeding of wildlife on property
within
the
boundaries of the
county
, exclusive of the municipalities therein
.
Any resolution passed pursuant to this paragraph is enforceable, in addition to other remedies provided by law, by injunction, mandamus or abatement.

Any person who
fails to comply with a resolution passed
pursuant to
this paragraph shall be fined not more than
five
hundred dollars ($
5
00.00) for each offense.

No resolution passed pursuant to
this paragraph shall
prohibit:

(A)

Any normal or accepted agricultural management practice;

(B)

Any wildlife feeding program authorized or conducted by the Wyoming game and fish department;

(C)

Any legal form of baiting wildlife as authorized by rule and regulation of the game and fish commission.
