Subject: Provides for legislative oversight of temporary facilities and amends a report deadline Summary/Major Elements: This act: Amends existing law to provide the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House with authority to regulate any building in which the Legislature meets while displaced from the Capitol Building. Amends existing law to provide that a required report by the Director of the Legislative Service Office to the Legislature will be submitted not later than January 15 th of each calendar year. Previously, the law required the report be submitted not later than December 15 t h . The above summary is not an official publication of the Wyoming Legislature and is not an official statement of legislative intent. ORIGINAL House Bill No . HB0027 ENROLLED ACT NO. 26, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SIXTY-THIRD LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2016 Budget Session AN ACT relating to the legislature; modifying date for annual report on legislative activities; providing for oversight of temporary legislative facilities; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . 28 ‑ 3 ‑ 101(c), 28 ‑ 4 ‑ 102(c) and 28 ‑ 8 ‑ 109 are amended to read: 28 ‑ 3 ‑ 101 . President. (c) He shall have the regulation of such parts of the capitol and its passages , and any building in which the legislature meets while displaced from the capitol, as are or may be set apart for the use of the senate and its officers. 28 ‑ 4 ‑ 102 . Speaker; speaker pro tem. (c) He shall have the regulation of such parts of the capitol and its passages , and any building in which the legislature meets while displaced from the capitol, as are or may be set apart for the use of the house or its officers. 28 ‑ 8 ‑ 109 . Reports by director to legislature. The director and his staff shall prepare and deliver a report of the activities of the office to each member of the next succeeding session of the legislature not later than December January 15th of each calendar year, or at such other times as the management council deems necessary or as requested by the legislature. Section 2 . This act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution. (END) 1
