A BILL

AN ACT relating to administration of government; modifying duties of the attorney general relating to legislative requests for opinions; specifying procedures for opinion requests; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1

Duties generally; retention of qualified practicing attorneys; matters in which county or state is party or has interest;
written opinions;
assistance to county and district attorneys in felony trials.

(a)

The attorney general shall:

(vi)

requested, give written opinions upon questions submitted to him by
:

(A)

lective and appointive state officers

Requests by any legislat

body shall be submitted in accordance with subparagraphs (B)
through (D)
of this paragraph;

Any legislator, legislative committee or legislative body

management council by a majority vote of the members of each house present;

(II)

A joint interim committee by majority vote of the members of each house present.

Section 2

This act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution.
