Subject: Heath care facility construction - inspection and plan review . Summary/Major Elements: This bill make s construction or alteration of state owned health care facilities subject to inspection and plan review prior to commencing construction. State owned facilities were inadvertently exempted from this requirement by law passed during the 2016 Budget Session. State owned facilities remain exempt from certain restrictions relating to increasing bed capacity. ORIGINAL House Bill No . HB0083 ENROLLED ACT NO. 5, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SIXTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2017 General Session AN ACT relating to health care licensing and operations; amending the exemption from licensing and bed count requirements at health care facilities owned or operated by the department of health; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . W.S. 35 ‑ 2 ‑ 906 ( g) is amended to read: 35 ‑ 2 ‑ 906 . Construction and expansion of facilities; exemption. (g) Beds constructed at any health care facility owned or operated by the department shall be exempt from subsections (b) and (c) of this section. Section 2 . This act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution.
