Notice to property owner of a past due municipal account.

To provide a property owner with information regarding
the owner's
property only, a
city or town shall ensure that notice is provided
to the
property owner of record of a past due m
unicipal water, sewer, electric, trash or recycling
account. One (1) notice shall be sent when an account has been past due for thirty (30) days and one (1) notice shall be sent when an account has been past due for sixty (60) days. Notices required by this section shall be sent to the record owners by first class mail or electronic mail to the record owners' addresses on file with the city or town. Notices required by this section shall be in addition to any notices sent to an account holder. Each city or town shall
adopt appropriate policies
to implement this section.
