AN ACT relating to eminent domain; requiring condemnors to disclose affected property owners and to provide project maps as specified; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Negotiations; scope of efforts to purchase.

(

)

Upon request by the
condemnee
, a
condemnor
shall provide any of the following:

(i)

The names of at least ten
(10)
neighboring property owners to whom
purchase
offers are being made
in connection with the project
, or a list of all offerees if fewer than ten
(10)

neighboring property owners
are affected, and a current and relevant map showing all neighboring property affected by the project;

(ii)

The names of any other property owners within the county of the
condemnee's
property and any adjacent counties whose property may be
condemned
for the project;

(iii)

An opportunity for the
condemnee
to examine any maps in the possession of the
condemnor
showing property affected by the project. The
condemnee
may obtain copies of such maps by tendering to the
condemnor
the reasonable and necessary costs of preparing copies.

This act is effective July 1, 2017
