Sponsored by: Representative(s) Allen and Larsen and Senator(s) Case and Meier A BILL for AN ACT relating to the department of family services; providing requirements for requests for appropriations and related contracts to fund child protection and juvenile justice services on the Wind River Indian Reservation; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . W.S. 9 ‑ 2 ‑ 2104( a) by creating a new paragraph (x) is amended to read: 9 ‑ 2 ‑ 2104 . Duties and powers of director of department. (a) The director shall: (x) Include contracts with the E astern Sh oshone business council or the N orther n Arapaho business council to provide child protection and juvenile justice services on the Wind River Indian Reservation in the standard budget for the department as provided in W.S. 9 ‑ 2 ‑ 101 0 . The department shall ensure any budget documents and contracts prepared under this paragraph set forth requirements for the Northern Arapaho business council or the Eastern Shoshone business council to participate in and comply with available federal funding related to child protection and juvenile justice services. Section 2 . This act is effective July 1, 201 7 . (END) 1 HB0258
