AN ACT relating to motor vehicles; extending the validity for driver's licenses; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Expiration and renewal; required tests; extension.

(a)

Every driver's license shall expire on the licensee's birthday in the
fourth
fifth
year following the issuance of the license.

(c)

Notwithstanding subsection (f) of this section,

t
he division may defer the expiration of the license of a licensee who is on active duty in the armed forces of the United States for successive
four (4)

five (5)
year periods, upon terms and conditions as it may prescribe. The division may similarly defer the expiration of the license of the spouse or dependent child of the person in the armed forces if residing with that person.

(f)

Once in any
eight (8)
ten (10)
year period, a driver's license may be extended for a
four (4)
five (5)
year period without the examination required by subsection (b) of this section for a licensee:

)

Whose license has not been suspended or revoked in the
four (4)
five (5)
years immediately preceding the date of license expiration;
