Provision of information and services; refusal to accept
; long acting reversible contraception account
.

(a)

The department of health may provide and pay for family planning and birth control information and services including interviews with trained personnel, distribution of literature, referral to a licensed physician for consultation, examination, tests, medical treatment and prescription and to the extent prescribed, the distribution of rhythm charts, drugs, medical preparation, contraceptive devices
,
long acting reversible contraceptive
s

and similar products, to any person who may benefit from this information and these services. Information and services shall be provided in a language understood by the recipient.

For purposes of this section, "long acting reversible contraceptives" means injections, intrauterine devices, implants and
other similar
methods of long acting reversible contraception
.

(e)

The long acting reversible contraception account is established and shall be administered by the department

of health
, health care financing division
. Funds in the account
derived from private contributions or grants may only be expended

for
purposes of providing

long acting reversible contraceptives

at no
or reduced
cost
to
eligible
wom
e
n.
Long acting reversible contraception shall be made available to the extent birth control services are provided under subsection (a) of this section
. The department
of health
shall
apply for
any
grants

and other
sources of
funding that may be available
to provide funding for
long acting reversible contraceptives.
All funding received shall be deposited in the long acting reversible contraception account.
For purposes of this subsection, "eligible women" means women who would
likely
become
qualified for prenatal or delivery co
verage under Wyoming Medicaid
.
