Subject: Increasing the number of bar and grill licenses available for municipalities. Summary/Major Elements: The bill increas es the number of bar and grill licenses authorized for municipalities as follows: For incorporated cities of populations between 7,501 and 20,000, the number of authorized licenses increases f rom three to six . The previous population range was from 7,501 to 15,000; For incorporated cities of populations between 20,001 and 30,000, the number of authorized licenses increases from four to ten. The previous population range was from 15,001 to 27,500; and For incorporated cities of populations over 30,000, one license is authorized per additional 7,500 people. Previously , for incorporated cities of populations over 27,500 , one license was authorized per additional 7,500. ORIGINAL Senate ENGROSSED File No . SF0155 ENROLLED ACT NO. 62, SENATE SIXTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2017 General Session AN ACT relating to alcoholic beverages; increasing the number of bar and grill licenses available for municipalities; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . W.S. 12 ‑ 4 ‑ 413( b) (ii), (iii) and (iv) is amended to read: 12 ‑ 4 ‑ 413. Bar and grill liquor license; authorized; requirements. (b) The number of bar and grill liquor licenses for cities an d towns shall be based on the following population formula: (ii) Not more than three (3) six ( 6 ) licenses for population in incorporated cities between seven thousand five hundred one (7,501) and fifteen thousand (15,000) twenty thousand ( 20 ,000) ; and (iii) Not more than four (4) ten ( 10 ) licenses for population in incorporated cities between fifteen thousand one (15,001) tw enty thousand one ( 20 ,001) and twenty ‑ seven thousand five hundred (27,500) thirty thousand ( 30 ,000) ; and (iv) Not more than one (1) additional license for each additional seven thousand five hundred (7,500) population in incorporated cities over twenty ‑ seven thousand five hundred (27,500) thirty thousand ( 30 ,000) . Section 2 . This act is effective July 1, 2017 .
