Sponsored by: Representative(s) Harshman, Burkhart, Lindholm and Obermueller and Senator(s) Boner, Driskill, Landen, Nethercott, Von Flatern and Wasserburger A BILL for AN ACT relating to property tax; providing an exemption for wind generation equipment sold and stored in Wyoming; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . W.S. 39 ‑ 11 ‑ 105(a) by creating a new paragraph (x l ii) is amended to read: 39 ‑ 11 ‑ 105 . Exemptions. (a) The following property is exempt from property taxation: ( xlii) Wind energy generation equipment, if Wyoming sales or use tax is paid on the equipment at the rate imposed in the county where the equipment is used or stored, for the period the equipment is stored in Wyoming prior to installation of the equipment for use. Section 2 . This act is effective July 1, 201 8 . (END) 1 HB0152
