Subject: Small water project restriction revisions. Summary/Major Elements: Previously, a small water project was limited to water projects with a total project cost of one hundred thirty ‑ five thousand dollars ($135,000.00) or less, and where the maximum financial contribution from the Water Development Commission wa s thirty ‑ five thousand dollars ($35,000.00) or less. This bill removes the requirement that the maximum cost of the project be one hundred thirty ‑ five thousand dollars ($135,000.00). Small water projects will still have a maximum f inancial contribution from the Water Development C ommission of thirty ‑ five thousand dollars ($35,000.00) or less. ORIGINAL Senate File No . SF0053 ENROLLED ACT NO. 8, SENATE SIXTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2018 Budget Session AN ACT relating to water development; eliminating the maximum project cost limitation on small water projects; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1 . W.S. 99 ‑ 3 ‑ 1903(k)(vii) and 99 ‑ 3 ‑ 1904(m)(vii) are amended to read: 99 ‑ 3 ‑ 1903 . Level III construction projects – new development. (k) Project ‑ Small Water Development Projects ‑ 2014: (vii) Definition: "Small project" means a project where estimated construction costs, permit procurement, construction engineering and project land procurement are one hundred thirty ‑ five thousand dollars ($135,000.00) or less, and where the maximum financial contribution from the commission is thirty ‑ five thousand dollars ($35,000.00) or less; 99 ‑ 3 ‑ 1904 . Level III construction projects – rehabilitation. (m) Project ‑ Small Water Development Projects ‑ 2014: (vii) Definition: "Small project" means a project where estimated rehabilitation costs, permit procurement, and project land procurement are one hundred thirty ‑ five thousand dollars ($135,000.00) or less, and where the maximum financial contribution from the commission is thirty ‑ five thousand dollars ($35,000.00) or less; Section 2 . This act is effective July 1, 201 8 .
