Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Definitions.

(a)

As used in this act:

(xviii)

"Vulnerable adult" means any person eighteen (18) years of age or older who
lacks the capacity to consent or who

is unable to
manage and take care of

provide for his own care or
protect
himself
or his money, assets or property without assistance
as a result of a
dvanced age or
from abuse, neglect, exploitation, intimidation, abandonment or self

neglect
,
and has
any of the following:

(A)

Diminished
p
hysical or mental disability

due to
the infirmities of aging,
cognitive impairment or
limitations in hearing, vision
,
mobility

or the ability to
carry out the
activities of daily living
;

(B)

Mental, emotional, physical or developmental disability or dysfunction
;

(C)

The effects of illness, injury or accident;

(D)

Residency in a long
‑
term care facility, nursing home

or
other
simil
ar care facility or institution.
