Subject:
Extending the expiration period for a commercial learner's permit.
Summary/Major Elements:
The act extends the maximum expiration period for a commercial learner’s permit from one hundred eighty (180) days, plus the opportunity for a renewal, to three hundred sixty-five (365) days, without an opportunity for renewal. Previously, a temporary permit was issued for not more than one hundred eighty (180) days, with the opportunity for renewal of an additional one hundred eighty (180) days.
The act also corrects a typographical error (striking "examination" and inserting "examinations").
