A BILL

AN ACT relating to Medicaid; amending the procedures for birth cost collection actions; requiring the disclosure of vital records as specified; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

(a)

days after an unmarried recipient of medical assistance gives birth to a child, the department of health shall notify the department of family services of the actual amount of birth costs paid by medical assistance
and shall disclose any vital records to the department of family services to the extent allowed by law
.

Section 2.

This act shall apply to births by unmarried recipients of medical assistance and related medical assistance costs occurring on and after the effective date of this act.

Section 3.

This act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution.
