Minimum coverage for homeowner policies.

No insurer shall offer for sale an insurance policy in violation of this section. Property and casualty insurance
on a residence and its contents providing replacement value coverage shall include coverage for the full cost of replacement of the covered property at the location of the property with new property or materials of like kind and quality that restore the property or materials to its functional and aesthetic condition prior to the loss.

Section 2.

This act shall only apply to insurance policies sold or renewed on or after July 1, 2020.

Section 3.

This act is effective July 1, 2020
