A BILL

AN ACT relating to governmental claims; eliminating the liability limit for property damage claims under the Wyoming Governmental Claims Act; repealing a provision related to a finding of proximate cause; repealing the prohibition on appeals of decisions; making conforming amendments; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

in an amount less than five hundred dollars ($500.00)
in cases in which no personal injury or death resulted, but only under the following conditions:

(ii)

The decision of whether the property damage claim will be paid shall be based on finding that:

(B)

The act occurred while the employee was acting within the scope of his employment duties;
and

(C)

The employee acted negligently by breaching a duty or by failing to act like a reasonable person
