Failed

Plain English: The amendment changes the requirement for the number of hours of supervised experience and adds a condition that this experience must meet certain national standards.

  • Removes the specific requirement of 2,000 hours of supervised experience and replaces it with 'an equivalent or greater number of' hours.
  • Adds a new requirement that the supervised experience must be as required by national standards for accreditation in addiction therapy.
  • The amendment does not specify what these national standards are, so more details would be needed to understand exactly how this will affect certification requirements.
