Transportation information system account.

(a)

There is created the transportation information system account into which shall be deposited funds as provided by law. Earnings from funds in the account shall be credited to the account. Funds in the account are continuously appropriated to the department of transportation and shall only be expended to replace the revenue information system that was in use on July 1, 2020. (b)

The department of transportation shall report on the balance in the transportation information system account and progress on modernization of any transportation information system each fiscal year to the joint transportation, highways and military affairs interim committee. The governor shall report when the replacement of the existing revenue information system as authorized in subsection (a) of this section is completed to the joint
transportation, highways and military affairs interim committee and may recommend the repeal or amendment of this section and fee increases imposed on July 1, 2021 and contained in W.S. 31
