A JOINT RESOLUTION

for

A JOINT RESOLUTION proposing to amend the Wyoming Constitution to authorize the recall of elected public officers as prescribed by the legislature.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING,
two-thirds of all the members of the two houses, voting separately, concurring therein:

Section 1.

The following proposal to amend Wyoming Constitution, Article 6 by creating a new Section 23 is proposed for submission to the electors of the State of Wyoming at the next general election for approval or rejection
to become valid as a part of the Constitution if ratified by a majority of the electors at the election:

Article 6, Section 23. Recall from office.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this constitution, all elected public officers in the state, except judicial officers, shall be subject to recall by the qualified voters of the jurisdiction from which the public officer was elected. The legislature shall prescribe by law the procedures and grounds for recall.

Section 2.

That the Secretary of State shall endorse the following statement on the proposed amendment:

The adoption of this amendment would authorize the recall of elected public officers in the state and political subdivisions as prescribed by law. Judicial officers would not be subject to recall.
