Corrected

Plain English: The amendment adds provisions for an expedited filing fee account to be created by the secretary of state, which will fund full-time positions for implementing and administering the act.

  • Creates a new section in W.S. 9-1-309 that establishes an 'expedited filing fee account' where fees collected under W.S. 9-1-305(a)(viii) will be credited.
  • Authorizes two full-time positions for the secretary of state's office to implement and administer the act, with a $400,000 appropriation from filings deposited into the special revenue fund.
  • Specifies that this appropriation is valid until June 30, 2026, and should be included in the standard budget of the secretary of state's office for the next fiscal biennium.
  • The amendment text does not specify how the funds will be used beyond salaries and benefits for full-time positions.
  • It is unclear what happens if the two full-time positions are included in other legislation, as specified in Section 3 of the amendment.
