Standing Committee • Senate Labor, Health and Social Services Committee

Adopted

Plain English: The amendment changes parts of the bill so that entities formed by certain healthcare districts are subject to the Wyoming Governmental Claims Act instead of being immune from it.

  • Replaces 'immune under' with 'subject to' in the text, changing how these entities are treated legally.
  • Removes references to specific legal sections and replaces them with descriptions of the types of healthcare districts involved.
  • Changes 'entity' to 'entities', indicating that multiple entities can be affected by this amendment.
  • Modifies the effective date from July 1, 2024, to immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law.
  • The exact impact on specific healthcare districts and their operations is not detailed in the provided text.
