SIXTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING
2025 General Session

A JOINT RESOLUTION requesting the Governor concentrate on promoting stable dispatchable base load power resources from Wyoming in lieu of taxpayer subsidized commercial wind and solar generated power.

WHEREAS, Wyoming produces four (4) of the cleanest resources of stable dispatchable base load power generation in the United States: clean coal, natural gas, uranium and hydroelectric;

WHEREAS, Wyoming has the ability to provide these resources to the rest of the United States and the world for stable dispatchable base load power generation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING:

Section 1.

That the Legislature of the State of Wyoming respectfully requests the Governor to oppose future promotion and subsidization of commercial wind and solar power generation in the state of Wyoming and promote efforts that provide Wyoming's stable dispatchable base load energy to all of Wyoming's citizens. The Legislature further requests the Governor to promote the export of Wyoming's stable dispatchable base load energy resources to the rest of the United States and the world.

Section 2.

That the Secretary of State of Wyoming transmit a copy of this resolution to the Governor.
