Subject: Modifying the permanent mineral trust fund deposits. Summary/Major Elements: Provides for 2/3 of the amount of severance tax collected under 39-14-104(a)(i) (1.5%) (surface coal), 39-14-104(b)(i) (1.5%) (underground coal) and 39-14-204(a)(i) (1.5%) (oil and gas) to be deposited to the permanent mineral trust fund. This amount is in addition to the constitutionally required 1.5% severance tax required under Article 15, Section 19 of the Wyoming Constitution. Makes conforming statute changes.
