2007 General Session Summary for HB0326 Bill No.: HB0326 Drafter: MDO LSO No.: 07LSO-0599 Effective Date: 7/1/2008 Enrolled Act No.: HEA0101 Chapter No.: <chptnum> Prime Sponsor: Representative Slater Catch Title: University of Wyoming specialty license plate. Subject: Authorizing University of Wyoming specialty licenses plates. Summary/Major Elements: A distinctive University of Wyoming specialty licenses plate may be issued to a person who files a statement of eligibility with the University of Wyoming. A written statement of eligibility will be issued for the distinctive licenses plates upon payment of $100 to the University. Issuance and renewal of distinctive licenses plates are subject to the same requirements and fees as all other licenses plates. The eligibility fees collected by the University shall be deposited in a "student support fund". Revenues from the fund shall be used for student financial aid and for other projects and programs that directly support students. Comments: Production of University plates will be eliminated if 1,000 are not issued by December 31, 2016. Final action on this bill was not taken at the time this summary was prepared. Should changes be made to the bill upon final passage an updated summary will be transmitted to all legislators.
