Subject: Authorizes an additional district court judge in the 9 th Judicial District as specified. Summary/Major Elements: Currently the 9 th Judicial District is authorized to have 2 district court judges, who reside in Fremont and Teton Counties. This bill: o Authorizes another district court judge for the 9 th Judicial District, who will reside in Sublette County; o Appropriates $732,546.00 to the Supreme Court for the biennium beginning July 1, 2008, to be used for salaries, benefits, office equipment, supplies and fees to implement the office in Sublette County; o Authorizes 4 full-time equivalent positions to implement the purposes of the act; o Provides that no action will be taken to appoint a judge to fill the position until suitable facilities have been completed and are ready for occupancy in Sublette County as specified in the act.
