Summary/Major Elements: Current law provides for disposition of up to six million dollars of lottery proceeds to cities, towns and counties based on a distribution formula comparing the net sales tax collected by vendors in the local government to total sales tax collected. Vendor is defined in the Wyoming lottery statutes as vendors authorized to supply lottery goods or services. This bill changes the definition of vendor to the definition of vendor in the sales tax statutes, resulting in distribution to all local governments rather than only those counties where lottery tickets are sold.
