Subject: Expungement of felonies. Summary/Major Elements: Under current law, a person convicted of a felony or felonies may petition the convicting court for an expungement of the records of conviction. Current law limits expungement for certain specified felonies. This bill amends the list of felonies that may not be expunged. The felonies that may now be expunged include: Causing bodily injury to a peace officer; Possession of a deadly weapon; Possession of explosives; Promoting prostitution; Perjury; Felony DUI; Felony drug possession; Felony game and fish violations.
