Section 1. Laws 2025, LB261, section 245, is amended to read:1

$6,580,762 General Funds, $33,726,860 Cash Funds, and $50,530,110 Federal13
Funds estimate for state aid, which shall only be used for such purpose.14

$5,580,762 General Funds, $25,023,140 $19,023,140 Cash Funds, and16

There is included in the appropriation to this program for FY2025-2619
$250,000 Cash Funds and for FY2026-27 $-0- Cash Funds from the Middle20
Income Workforce Housing Investment Fund to conduct a study regarding21
prefabricated housing in Nebraska. 22
There is included in the amount shown as aid for FY2025-26 $700,00023
General Funds to provide aid funding to development districts formed24
under sections 13-1901 to 13-1907. There is included in the amount shown25
as aid for FY2026-27 $700,000 General Funds to provide aid funding to26
development districts formed under sections 13-1901 to 13-1907.27
There is included in the amount shown as aid for FY2025-2628
$4,880,762 General Funds to provide aid for mentorship programs for29
nonprofit organizations that meet eligibility requirements designed by30
the Department of Economic Development to improve reading levels for31

elementary students. There is included in the amount shown as aid for1
FY2026-27 $4,880,762 General Funds to provide aid for mentorship programs2
for nonprofit organizations that meet eligibility requirements designed3

There is included in the amount shown as aid for FY2025-266
$1,000,000 General Funds and for FY2026-27 $-0- General Funds for the7
grant authorized in section 81-1213.04, which shall only be used for such8
purpose. 9
The unexpended Cash Fund appropriation balance for unexpended10
obligations existing on June 30, 2025, for the Rural Workforce Housing11
Investment Act, the Middle Income Workforce Housing Investment Act, the12
Nebraska Affordable Housing Act, and the Nebraska Rural Projects Act, is13
hereby reappropriated. 14
Sec. 2. Original Laws 2025, LB261, section 245, is repealed.15
