A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to create the Rural Health1
Transformation Program Fund. 2
Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,3

Section 1. (1)(a) The Rural Health Transformation Program Fund is1
created. The fund shall be administered by the Department of Health and2
Human Services and shall consist of money received from the federal3
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for the Rural Health4
Transformation Program. Money in the fund shall be used to support5
communities in transforming health care delivery systems and improving6
access to health care and health outcomes. 7
(b) Any money in the Rural Health Transformation Program Fund8
available for investment shall be invested by the state investment9
officer pursuant to the Nebraska Capital Expansion Act and the Nebraska10
State Funds Investment Act. 11
(2) The department shall electronically report to the Legislature on12
or before December 15 of each year regarding the use of the fund and the13
outcomes achieved from the use of the fund. 14
