A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to public assistance; to amend section 68-994,1
Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement, 2024; to prohibit the2
addition of long-term care service and supports to the medicaid3
managed care program; and to repeal the original section.4
Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,5

Section 1. Section 68-994, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement,1
2024, is amended to read: 2
68-994 Until July 1, 2030 2023, the department shall not add long-3
term care services and supports to the medicaid managed care program. For4
purposes of this section, long-term care services and supports includes5
services of a skilled nursing facility, a nursing facility, and an6
assisted-living facility and home and community-based services.7
Sec. 2. Original section 68-994, Revised Statutes Cumulative8
Supplement, 2024, is repealed. 9
