A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to the Massage Therapy Practice Act; to amend1
section 38-1716, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement, 2024; to2
change requirements relating to licensure of massage therapy3
establishments; and to repeal the original section.4
Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,5

Section 1. Section 38-1716, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement,1
2024, is amended to read: 2
38-1716 No person shall operate or profess or attempt to operate a3
massage therapy establishment unless such establishment is licensed by4
the department under the Massage Therapy Practice Act. The department5
shall not issue or renew a license for a massage therapy establishment6
until all requirements of the act have been complied with. No person7
shall engage in any of the practices of massage therapy in any location8
or premises other than a licensed massage therapy establishment except as9
specifically permitted by the board in the act. 10
Sec. 2. Original section 38-1716, Revised Statutes Cumulative11
Supplement, 2024, is repealed. 12
