A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to fees and salaries; to amend section 33-110,1
Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska; to change certain fees related2
to marriage records as prescribed; and to repeal the original3
section. 4
Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,5

Section 1. Section 33-110, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska, is1
amended to read: 2
33-110 County clerks shall receive no fee for the performance of the3
following services: For issuing certificates of election; for performing4
the duties of clerk of the county board; for taking acknowledgments of5
claims against the county; for attesting or certifying any document6
authorized by the county board or required by the departments of the7
state; or for recording Army or Navy discharges or furnishing certified8
copies thereof to be used in connection with any claim for compensation9
or disability. A charge of twenty-five cents shall be made for any other10
certificate and seal unless otherwise provided. The fees collected shall11
be credited to the county general fund. 12
County clerks shall receive a fee of fifty twenty-five dollars for13
the entire proceedings of issuing a marriage license, administering the14
related oaths or affirmations, and recording a marriage certificate. An15
additional fee of sixteen nine dollars shall be made for each certified16
copy of a marriage record on file in the office of the county clerk. Both17
such fees shall be deposited in the county general fund.18
Sec. 2. Original section 33-110, Reissue Revised Statutes of19
Nebraska, is repealed. 20
