A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to the Motor Vehicle Industry Regulation Act;1
to amend section 60-1411.01, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska;2
to change certain fees; and to repeal the original section.3

Section 1. Section 60-1411.01, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska,1
is amended to read: 2
60-1411.01 (1) To pay the expenses of the administration, operation,3
maintenance, and enforcement of the Motor Vehicle Industry Regulation4
Act, the board shall collect with each application for each class of5
license fees not exceeding the following amounts: 6
(a) Motor vehicle dealer's license, one thousand four hundred7
dollars; 8
(b) Supplemental motor vehicle dealer's license, five hundred twenty9
dollars; 10
(c) Dealer's agent license, five one hundred dollars;11
(d) Motor vehicle, motorcycle, or trailer manufacturer's license,12
one thousand five six hundred dollars; 13
(e) Distributor's license, one thousand five six hundred dollars;14
(f) Factory representative's license, one hundred twenty dollars;15
(g) Distributor representative's license, one hundred twenty16
dollars; 17
(h) Finance company's license, one thousand four hundred dollars;18
(i) Wrecker or salvage dealer's license, five two hundred dollars;19
(j) Factory branch license, five two hundred dollars;20
(k) Motorcycle dealer's license, one thousand four hundred dollars;21
(l) Motor vehicle auction dealer's license, one thousand four22
hundred dollars; and 23
(m) Trailer dealer's license, one thousand four hundred dollars.24
(2) The fees shall be fixed by the board and shall not exceed the25
amount actually necessary to sustain the administration, operation,26
maintenance, and enforcement of the act. 27
(3) Such licenses, if issued, shall expire on December 31 next28
following the date of the issuance thereof. Any motor vehicle,29
motorcycle, or trailer dealer changing its location shall not be required30
to obtain a new license if the new location is within the same city31

limits or county, all requirements of law are complied with, and a fee of1
one hundred twenty-five dollars is paid, but any change of ownership of2
any licensee shall require a new application for a license and a new3
license. Change of name of licensee without change of ownership shall4
require the licensee to obtain a new license and pay a fee of fifty five5
dollars. Applications shall be made each year for a new or renewal6
license. If the applicant is an individual, the application shall include7
the applicant's social security number. 8
Sec. 2. Original section 60-1411.01, Reissue Revised Statutes of9
Nebraska, is repealed. 10
