ONE HUNDRED NINTH LEGISLATURE
SECOND SESSION
LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION 285
Introduced by Sorrentino, 39.
WHEREAS, Gary Sadlemyer, after nearly fifty years at KFAB radio network,
retired on December 12, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Gary was a Minnesota native with a dream for radio and started
that journey at KFAB in 1976; and
WHEREAS, Gary has been at KFAB and has talked his listeners through the
first plane flying into the World Trade Center, stayed on the air to report on
the Von Maur shooting, and became a major lifeline to those effected after the
1997 snowstorm; and
WHEREAS, Gary will be a substitute for his replacement if necessary and
will be around the station that was his home away from home after nearly fifty
years; and
WHEREAS, Gary will enjoy time vacationing and spending much needed time
with his family for years to come; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature recognizes Gary for his dedication and his love
for radio throughout his years at KFAB.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE ONE HUNDRED NINTH
LEGISLATURE OF NEBRASKA, SECOND SESSION:
1. That the Legislature congratulates Gary Sadlemyer on almost fifty years
at KFAB.
2. That a copy of this resolution be sent to Gary Sadlemyer.
